Ruby Nadler, PHD, MA, RP (Qualifying)
Ruby (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with adults navigating complex trauma, neurodivergence, and identity, helping them better understand themselves and create meaningful change. She has a particular interest in helping clients explore the connections between their nervous system, emotions, relationships, and everyday patterns of functioning. She is especially passionate about working with individuals who have spent much of their lives adapting to environments that did not fully understand or support them, including those with ADHD, autism, high sensitivity, giftedness, and other forms of neurodivergence.
Ruby believes that many struggles make sense when viewed through the lens of a person's experiences, relationships, and adaptations, and this informs her relational and trauma-informed therapeutic approach. Clients often come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, caught in cycles of self-criticism, people-pleasing, perfectionism, burnout, or emotional overwhelm. Rather than focusing on "fixing" clients, she works collaboratively to help them understand the origins of their patterns, reconnect with their emotions and needs, and create space for healing, integration, and lasting change.
Ruby holds a PhD in Cognition and Perception from Western University and has published research on executive functioning, mood, motivation, and mindfulness. Her academic background continues to inform her interest in the ways trauma, neurodivergence, and the nervous system shape how people experience themselves and the world around them.
Ruby brings lived experience of autism and ADHD to her work, along with the perspective of balancing parenting, work, and everyday life. She also lives with hypermobility and related health challenges, giving her a personal appreciation for the realities of chronic illness, self-care, and learning to work with, rather than against, her body. These experiences deepen her empathy for the challenges others face while reinforcing her belief that healing begins with understanding and accepting ourselves. She is committed to helping clients develop greater self-trust, self-compassion, and lives that reflect their needs, values, and strengths.
Outside of work, Ruby enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, time outdoors, and happily falling down research rabbit holes on her latest areas of interest.
