Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the ADHD & Spectrum Centre?

We are a fully virtual, Ontario-based clinic offering ADHD- and Autism-affirming therapy, coaching, naturopathic medicine, diagnosis, and nutrition support. Our therapy team is all neurodivergent, meaning all practitioners share lived experience with the clients they support.

  • What services do you offer?

We offer therapy with Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers, ADHD / Autism-informed coaching, naturopathic medicine, nutrition support, psycho-educational and other assessments, and family / couples sessions — all delivered online.

  • Are all your practitioners neurodivergent?

Yes — our entire therapy team is neurodivergent, including our founder. This is a core part of our care philosophy: support from people who truly “get it.”

  • What’s the difference between coaching, therapy, and naturopathic care?

Coaching focuses on skills, routines, motivation, and practical strategies for daily life.

Therapy supports emotional wellbeing, stress, trauma, relationships, and deeper patterns.

Naturopathic care can assess underlying physical contributors, food-based issues, and offer evidence-based natural treatments, nutrition plans, hormonal support, and more. Our naturopathic doctors are very pro-science and have all completed an undergraduate degree, a 4 year degree in an accredited naturopathic medicine program, and have years of extra ADHD & Autism training and experience on top.

  • How do I know which practitioner is right for me?

Every one of our practitioners has a unique background, personality, and area of focus. You can explore their full bios, or book a free 20-minute consultation to meet them and see who feels like the right fit for you. If they don’t work out, set up a 20min consult with another one of our practitioners - we just want you to find a therapist who is a good fit.

  • How long are sessions?

We offer a variety of appointment lengths depending on the service:

    20-minute free consults.

50-minute and 80-minute sessions for therapy and coaching.

80-minute and 110-minute assessment or extended counselling sessions.

    80-minute family / couples sessions.

  • Do you offer in-person sessions?

No — our practice is fully virtual. All video and call sessions are done over secure, phipa approved channels , so you can access care from anywhere in Ontario.

  • Do you offer assessments for ADHD or Autism?

Yes — we are able to provide full psycho-educational assessments and Official Diagnosis with our diagnosticians for ADHD and Autism Level 1. These include diagnostic interviews, testing, and personalized recommendations.

We also offer a unique kind of ADHD/Autism assessment/diagnosis that we designed for our clients with affordability in mind. Ask us about it.

  • Are your services available to residents outside of Ontario?

Most psychotherapy and social work services can only be offered to clients physically located in Ontario due to licensing regulations. However, other services, such as coaching and certain naturopathic or nutrition support, may be available to clients elsewhere.

If you're outside Ontario, please reach out through our contact form to confirm what options are available to you.

  • How do I book an appointment?

You can book through our online booking platform, Jane, or if you’re unsure which service to choose, fill out the Contact Form form and we’ll guide you to the right service.

  • How soon will someone respond after I reach out?

You can expect a response within 2-3 business days for all inquiries and booking questions. Very rarely, the internet gremlins can eat a message so if you haven’t heard from us after 2 business days, please reach out again.

  • Do you offer support for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients?

Yes — many of our practitioners have specialized training and lived experience supporting LGBTQ+, trans, non-binary, and BIPOC communities. We work hard to create a space that’s affirming, inclusive, and trauma-informed.

  • Do you work with children or adults?

We support both adults and youth, along with parents and loved ones of neurodivergent people. Some services (like family or couples sessions) also include partners and caregivers. Our clients are probably about 50% neurodivergent children and 50% neurodivergent adults so we are very experienced in working with all ages.

  • Can I switch practitioners later on?

Of course — your comfort matters. If you feel you’d connect better with someone else, we’ll help you transition smoothly.

  • Do you process insurance or benefits claims directly?

No, the Centre does not process benefits claims on your behalf. All sessions are paid directly by the client through Jane Payments. However, receipts for therapy, coaching, and naturopathic sessions are eligible to be submitted to most insurance providers for reimbursement, depending on your plan.

  • Do you have a newsletter?

Yes! You can join our newsletter for updates, resources, and neurodiversity-friendly guidance. You’ll get a confirmation email after signing up. Sign up by using the Stay in the loop box below!

  • What issues are you not able to support?

We are not equipped to work with individuals experiencing psychosis, delusions, schizophrenia, or visual / auditory hallucinations. If these concerns arise, we help clients connect with more appropriate services.
