Alina Kislenko is a Registered Psychotherapist specializing in ADHD and Autism, as well as an Assistant Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neuroscience at the McMaster School of Medicine. In 2009, at age 22, she founded The ADHD & Spectrum Centre in Guelph, Ontario after her own recent diagnoses of ADHD and Autism, and in response to the severe lack of relevant services in the area. She now has the privilege of supervising the talented psychotherapists, social workers, and coaches at the Centre while travelling internationally to advocate for neurodiversity awareness and affordable access to supports. Alina sees the neurodivergence of ADHDers and Autistics as a tremendous strength and wouldn’t trade her own unique brain for the world. She aims to help others with these conditions thrive by understanding their own “stealthy superpowers” and how to use them to their advantage.

Alina hosted The Strange Brains talk radio show on CFRU 93.3FM for many years and served as the in-house expert on The ADHD Spot TV show. She also trains therapists from around the world who are seeking to specialize in ADHD and Autism. Alina received Guelph’s most prestigious honour, the Mayor’s Award, for building a thriving ADHD and Autism community and for her advocacy work. She has also been recognized with the Community Hero and Woman of Distinction awards for her contributions.

Alina is the author of The Asperger's Handbook: A Quick Guide to Finding the Benefits and Workarounds for the 10 Most Common Asperger's Traits. You can also check out our ADHD & Autism Member's Lab, which Alina created, or visit our Facebook page where she posts regularly.
