Alina has led the Guelph Adult ADHD & Aperger's Support Group in Guelph since June 2010 and works with employers, educators, entrepreneurs, and all breeds of ADHDers to decrease the symptoms that impact their own and their family’s lives, as well as to advocate and bring awareness about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome into our communities. Alina's time advocating led to her being selected to receive Guelph's most prestigious award, the Guelph Mayor's Award for her ADHD and Asperger's Advocacy in 2014. She also has a weekly radio show, called Strange Brains Talk Radio, around issues and strategies pertaining to people with ADHD/Asperger's Syndrome (listen here), runs Yoga Classes, has a regular segment on Inside Guelph (Rogers TV) as their current ADHD/Asperger's expert, and gives educational workshops (the most recent one being for the RCMP).
Among all of the the other things Alina is and does, her own ADD and Asperger's plays a wonderful role in her life and she thanks her lucky stars for all the gifts her neurodiversity continues to bring with it, such as boundless energy, unquenchable curiosity, an obsession with all things psychology, and a deep seated love for timers (cheapest and most effective ADHD management strategy EVER).

What's This Site About?
The goal of this site is to provide resources in the shape of tools, gadget and knowledge to help my clients, you, and your loved ones build some good strategies for how to deal with the negative “side-affects” of ADHD. It’s also all about embracing your ADHD and all the gifts it brings to our lives like creativity, humour, and the hyperfocusing ability that breeds great talent. The big thing here is that I don’t just want to equip you with simplistic, “good luck with that” strategies, I want to provide real, detailed, hands on stuff that’s worked for myself, or my clients, to help arm and protect you from the hailstorm of your own and the world’s constant attacks on “the way you do things”.
Why ADHD Interrupted?
ADHD Interrupted represents our view on ADHD and Asperger's as generally wonderful things, even potential evolutionary traits, mixed in with a couple of bad coping strategies you developed years ago (at a time when you needed them) that are tying your feet together when you try to do stuff. You can still get some things done, but you’re not operating at peak performance, usually because of these bad habits you developed when it seemed like a good idea. So ADHD Interrupted is all about interrupting your old, self defeatist patterns and strategies (like defensiveness, irritability, self fulfilling prophecies of failure) and decking you out with new reaction options (like patience, creative problem solving, and optimistic thought processes).
