Nat Sanderson, AACC
Phone & In-Person Coach

Picture
Diagnosed with ADHD in his 20s, Nat has spent his life driven by community and fascinated by the small things that help people thrive and feel like they belong. Nat’s most powerful experiences were working as a youth group leader for the last decade, where he was able to help his clients untangle their lives and find their inner leader in the midst of much humour and mutual weirdness.
Some of Nat’s areas of specialization include:
  • Working with Tradespeople
  • Working with children, youth, and families
  • Working with LGBTQ populations
  • Video Game/Screen Addiction
  • Spiritual Counselling
  • Counselling for those who self-identify as nerds: Those into D&D, board games, Magic The Gathering, etc.
  • Counselling for Athletes and Runners
When Nat discovered his own ADHD, he was able to take the eight years of specialized leadership training he had and better apply it to all aspects of his life. As a result of this training and his extremely thorough certification as an ADHD & Asperger’s/ASD Certified Coach (AACC), he has been better able to understand and harness his own restlessness (he’s now a dedicated runner) and special interests. He now feels so much more fulfilled as he has unlocked the many special abilities that come with his own Neurodivergence (instead of seeing them as burdens) and loves nothing more than helping others do the same for themselves.

On the topic of interests, Nat identifies as a huge nerd. Right now, he’s devouring several sci fi novels, and writing his own (he can’t get enough). He’s also been known to dabble in Minecraft, all types of video games, board games (he even created one once professionally), volunteering, and poetry (and a newfound interest in acrylic painting). Also anyone who knows Nat knows that he’s an avid Magic The Gathering player and a dedicated Dungeons and Dragons DM and he is always happy to incorporate any elements of his interests, or the interests of his clients, into his therapy and coaching sessions.

Nat deeply believes that counselling can often be fun and connective, even amidst the extremely hard psychological work that happens in session.
