Dr. Emily Murphy, ND
Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Emily has been in practice since 2011, and currently has an evidence-based practice in Guelph, Ontario. Emily has developed special interests in the following areas:
Emily’s experience with ADD/ADHD and Asperger’s began when a family member was diagnosed with ADHD, and another was suspected to be on the Autistic Spectrum. Through investigation of the current research, by working in conjunction with Alina Kislenko, and also by leading talks and groups on the subject, Emily has developed this interest into an ever-growing knowledge base. Her experience treating patients with ADD/ADHD and Asperger’s using evidence-based natural therapeutics has also provided invaluable first hand knowledge of the physiological challenges that can be associated with these conditions, as well as how to treat them successfully.
Emily uses a broad base of assessment tools to determine the exact needs of each patient. This begins with a thorough first visit, physical exam, and may also include laboratory testing, if needed. Testing may be useful for several purposes, including: food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies and hormone levels. Emily treats her patients using a range of evidence-based naturopathic tools, including: healthy diet and lifestyle, nutritional supplements, stress management, botanical medicine, and acupuncture.
Emily is currently accepting clients.
