Keylan Musto, M.Ed. (Counselling Psychology),
RP (Qualifying)
Counselling and Psychotherapy
Keylan is a counsellor with a passion for working with the neurodivergent population. As someone who only came to understand his own ADHD & broad autism traits in his late 20s, Keylan is familiar with the unique trials and tribulations that may arise throughout the lives of neurodivergent people (in addition to the often exceptional capabilities and skills that can be a huge advantage in many facets of life).
Keylan earned his Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa, where he became increasingly steeped in the therapeutic approaches of Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Keylan’s integration of these approaches in session encourages understanding of one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviours so they can all work more smoothly and in your best interests to promote your success. Keylan also loved being a counsellor at Carleton University, where he helped students to uncover, develop, and actualize their career and educational goals. As well as his passion for ADHD & issues that impact those on the spectrum and their families, he also has experience with general and social anxiety, depression, screen addictions, traumatic brain injury, men’s mental health, and giftedness. |
A self-proclaimed geek, Keylan’s hobbies include tabletop gaming (Settlers of Catan anyone?), video gaming (Elder Scrolls!), and flexing his statistical knowledge in the world of fantasy hockey. He is also an avid cook and lover of disc-golf, gardening, and being a dad to his very inquisitive and quirky baby daughter.
