Alexandra Roumeliotus, MA (cand.), RP (Qualifying)
Therapy & Coaching

Alexandra (she/they) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a practicum student currently completing her master’s degree in counselling at Yorkville University. As someone with ADHD, Alexandra understands firsthand the challenges of navigating a neurodivergent brain in a neurotypical world. Their journey from confusion and self-doubt to empowerment fuels her passion for helping others embrace their unique brains, uncover their strengths, and create a life that feels authentic—messy moments and all!
Growing up, Alexandra was the creative, witty kid with big ideas—but often struggled to keep track of her backpack (or her phone). ADHD wasn’t on her radar until a high school partner, already diagnosed, encouraged her to explore the possibility. In adulthood, when life’s structured routines faded, challenges like time management, focus, and self-doubt took center stage. Over time, Alexandra realized that their ADHD wasn’t something to “fix” but an integral part of who she is. Embracing her neurodivergence transformed her perspective and now inspires her to help others do the same.
In therapy, Alexandra takes a flexible, personalized approach, meeting clients where they are. She works with individuals and families to build self-awareness, identify strengths, and develop practical tools to thrive in a world built for neurotypicals. Her sessions are warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental—a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences openly. Alexandra is especially passionate about helping families understand neurodivergence, fostering stronger, more compassionate connections.
Outside of therapy, Alexandra loves exploring creative hobbies, tending to their cozy Animal Crossing island, and indulging in reality TV (think baking disasters or house-flipping drama). Family is at the heart of her world, and she treasures time with her parents, brother, grandparents, and partner, who played a key role in her ADHD discovery. And then there’s the Arizona desert—her favorite place in the world, which she dreams of revisiting every year. Alexandra’s ultimate goal is to empower neurodivergent individuals and families to embrace their unique brilliance, build resilience, and approach life’s challenges with curiosity, humor, and heart. Therapy with her is about celebrating what makes your brain different and making it work for you.
