Sienna Watters, MA (cand.), RP (Qualifying)
Therapy & Coaching (Student)
Sienna (she/her) was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and is a mother of two neurodivergent children. She is well aware of the void in the system when it comes to supporting the caregivers of children with heightened behavioral, social, and sensory challenges. Using a client centered, systems approach Sienna hopes to help fill this void by offering support and guidance to individuals who are directly and indirectly impacted by Autism/ADHD. We are happy to have Sienna with us while she is completing her Master's in Counselling Psychology.
The lack of understanding of girls on the spectrum is an area Sienna is very passionate about. Her daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at six but her Autism diagnosis was not flagged until three years later, and this is unfortunately too common an experience in women and girls. Sienna is a big proponent for early diagnosis and equity for neurodivergent people and their families. When she's not supporting her clients, she gets a lot of joy from her gaggle of cute animals (including birds, a bearded dragon, cats, and dogs), listening to audio books and hiking with her kids. |
